» Course Description:
A Stablehand is a person who is employed in the Equine Industry whether it is a Riding/Agistment Centre, Stud or Racing stable and whose prime function is to care for the animals and to meet their individual needs of feeding, grooming, exercising, treatments, transporting, and keeping the environment safe & clean.
The course is an ideal starting point for people with little or no experience to learn how to handle horses in a safe and friendly environment with horses to suit all levels of experience.
It is also an opportunity for people who already have skills and experience with horses to be recognised for this knowledge and gain a Nationally Recognised Qualification that is the Standard in the Equine & Racing Industry. The course is delivered with Full Time and Part Time options available. This course is suitable for both Thoroughbred and Harness industries.
