» Course Description:
This qualification covers workers in a range of education settings including public and independent schools and community education settings that provide assistance and support to teachers and students under broad based supervision. Some jurisdictions may require specialist skill development and supervision by qualified teachers to address specific job roles. Some job roles may require the education support worker to complete work external to the immediate education environment e.g. in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities.

» Essentials, Prerequisites: Entry requirements:. Students must have basic computer skills to achieve course assessments. Students must been 15 years and over. Students must also be motivated, show an awareness of industry requirements and keenness to work in the industry.

Pathways: After completion of the CHC30808 Certificate III in Education Support, students can gain employment in Education support worker, Teacher assistant, Teacher aide, Education assistant (special needs),Education assistant, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander education worker, Indigenous language and culture teaching assistant, Language worker, Literacy worker, Homeland teaching assistant, Home tutor, Support worker (working with children with disabilities). Students may wish to continue studying and undertake Certificate IV Education Support.
