» Course Description:
The Diploma of Youth Work aims to provide the skills and knowledge required to work in community services vocation of youth services as a Youth Worker or as a supervisor or team leader with youth delivery responsibilities. Participants will gain the necessary skills and knowledge to perform the functions required within the youth services vocation as well as management and supervisory skills.

» Essentials, Prerequisites: Students will need a minimum Year 8 or equivalent qualification. Students must been 15 years and over. Students must also be motivated, show an awareness of industry requirements and keenness to work in the industry. To be considered for entry to the Diploma of Youth Work Candidates must be recognized as competent in seven core units of CHC41808 Certificate IV in Youth Work, or have sufficient experience in the youth sector that is likely to lead to success in this level of qualification.
» Pathways:
After completion of the Diploma of Youth Work, students may wish to undertake the Advanced Diploma of Youth Work
» Recognition of Prior Learning, Credit Transfers:
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL): Students wishing to apply for RPL need to indicate this on the Enrolment Form. RPL Application Forms are available from the Course Co-ordinator.
Credit Transfer: Credit Transfer is the recognition and acknowledgment of modules or units of competency acquired through prior formal credentialed training (identical academic experience).
